Our top 5 tips to get you Christmas Party ready!
Halloween is over and the evenings are getting darker and darker- Christmas can’t be too far away! One of the things that nearly everyone looks forward to is the staff Christmas party night out, or a night out with a gang of friends. But who organises the night? How will we pay for it or how do we even choose where we are going? Fear not- here is our top 5 tips to make you Christmas party night ready!
- Book a venue
Booking a venue/ hotel for your party night will almost always be the most inexpensive option for everyone (even more so if the boss is paying for it!). Drinks are usually served on arrival, followed by a four course meal and then some great tunes to dance the night away. Having a structured night like this is perfect as you will all stay together and there is no fear of anyone going missing. The Newgrange Hotel have a host of Christmas Party dates available this year. To download the brochure just click here.
2.Organise a secret Santa
This is always great fun and can be done between 3 or 30 people. Put a limit on the cost of the present- a lot of people say between €5 and €10. Then everyone has something to open on the night of the party- whether it be something silly or something sweet.
3.Get payment up front
If you are not lucky enough to have your boss paying for your party night or you are just a group of friends, always try to have everyone payed up in full before the night. This will lessen the chances of drop outs and no one else will be left footing the bill if there are cancellations after the cancellation period is up. Venues will usually ask you for a deposit for everyone and full payment before the night anyway.
4.Get your sparkle on!
Whether its just a pair of sparkly earrings or a light up tie- make sure to dress up for your party night out. Christmas is a time to go all out and let your hair down. Discount stores have a fantastic array of Christmas novelties that everyone can have fun with. You want to look good in those Instagram pics that will be doing the rounds of the office come January!
5.Organise that lift home!
Christmas is a cold time of the year! Always remember to plan your trip home before you head out for that night out- even better, book in to the nearest hotel/ guesthouse for the night and just take the elevator home! There would be nothing better than a lie in and a full Irish made for you the next morning. The Newgrange Hotel have got an amazing accommodation package for their Christmas Party nights. Only €60 per person sharing. For more information on these fantastic rates or their Christmas party nights this December- click here.
