A Summer supper event with Tara Walker
The Newgrange Hotel has been offering good food and service to the people of Navan and beyond for over 20 years now and this summer they are teaming up with Tara Walker of the East Coast Cookery school to bring you an evening of food demonstration and tips and a sumptuous 3 course meal from Head Chef- Eddie O’Neill.
The Newgrange Hotel is very lucky to be situated in the Boyne Valley region of Ireland, where there is also an amazing network of local producers. From Dan Kellys Cider in Drogheda, Newgrange Gold in Slane, Martry Mill in Kells and Boyne Valley Farmhouse cheese, the list is endless. How many of our customers know about these local producers and use their produce at home themselves when cooking? Usually these small producers love to see the local market buying their produce so that they aren’t always depending on exporting it out of the area.
On the 20th of July, Tara Walker will be in the Newgrange Hotel for a cookery demonstration on all things Boyne Valley. Using only local produce Tara will be bringing us through a three course Boyne Valley menu that will be easily recreated at home. Tara will be sharing tips and ideas for that perfect Boyne Valley meal- a perfect dinner party idea to show off our beautiful area. During the food demonstration, our own head chef, Eddie O’Neill, will be serving you up our own Boyne Valley menu masterpiece. This event is being run in conjuction with the Boyne Valley Food Series and Boyne Valley Flavours.
