Newgrange News - Get Ready for Navan Live 2011

Have you already booked your hotel accommodation in Meath for September but don't know what events should fill your itinerary, don't worry - we have you covered. Not only is it the month of the spectacular Ping Solheim Cup golfing event, but also Navan Live 2011. This massive music festival is scheduled to take place for three days, starting 15 September at the Teach Na Teamhrach grounds.

The event is now in its second year and, due to the popularity of the first event, it was decided that another day of festivities be added - as two days was just not enough last time around! UB40 will be headlining the event and they need no introduction. This reggae outfit from Birmingham formed in 1978 and enjoyed phenomenal success en route to becoming one of the best-selling bands in the world.

In addition to this, you will also be treated to the local sounds of The Lost Brothers, who hail from Navan, as well as Declan O'Rourke and Paul Brady on Friday night. The Buskateers will headline the opening night - a band made up of a group of top musicians from around the town, and they will be accompanied by Red Queen Contest, The Whatmans and Hunters Edge.

Party-goers will also have plenty of things to do in Meath at the same time, as free music and arts events will be held around Navan Town simultaneously. Make sure you don't miss out on the opportunity to nod heads with UB40 and the rest by booking your tickets now. Also, don't forget to secure that hotel accommodation in Meath to ensure that you have somewhere to lay your head after rocking your socks off
