Points of Pride Walking Tour

If you are in Navan, Meath, this November you can look forward to plenty of things to get up to. You can take part in the Navan ‘Points of Pride’ walking tour – a 4km walk that will see you experience Navan’s historical heritage in all its splendour. Come meet vibrant people and begin your journey at the Solstice Arts Centre. The walk will take up to two hours to complete and will be an ideal adventure for yourself and your family or friends.

The tour will take you around the town from the Old Court House and the Ramparts & Ruxton’s Bridge to the Canon Row and St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church. This is an educational tour that is ideal for students and those who are interested in the history of Navan and its current developments. The tour will be based on the historical walk of Navan as noted by Meath Historian, Fr Gerry Rice.

You can also acquire an audio booklet that contains a historical background which will better acquaint you to most of the points of interest and direct you to the next point as well. This booklet can be downloaded onto your mp3 player or iPod at various locations.
